Beauty in Chrome

Over the last year or so, artificial intelligence has moved from the realm of possibility into the world of reality. During that time, artists and creatives have pushed back against the technology's consumption of their work as it threatens to replace them. For our latest beauty story, photographer Peter Ash Lee and art director and stylist Jane Heejun worked with hairstylist Gabe Sin and makeup artist Oh Seong Seok to create extravagant looks to reclaim an otherworldly sense of experimentation from AI. Flowers arranged by Chungrokhwa add an organic element to Yu SeungHwi's industrial nails for an additional twist on a stunning combination of the human and the digital.
